Fraternal Rituals

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Burning LampLambda Chi Alpha publishes an “open” document that discusses many symbols that are represented in all fraternal ceremonies, it is called Ritual: What and Why. Many of you may have read this during your Associate Membership, as it is readily available to all members of the Fraternity. The publication also discusses some of the origins of the Lambda Chi Alpha Associate Member Ceremony, which has origins in the Theta Kappa Nu Initiation Ceremony.

Thanks to Brother Jason Pearce and The Cross & Crescent Articles on Theta Kappa Nu’s Ritual (Part 1 and Part 2) for providing the link to this open publication.

I hope you enjoy reading Ritual: What and Why, and learning about all Fraternal symbolism as much as I do.

Vir Quisque VirI like to dig around on the internet…you know Research and Development for work.

Recently, I found this original Theta Kappa Nu book. I took the images someone stored on a website and put them into a PDF. Not all pages were scanned, so I only have a partial of the book’s contents. Click on the book cover on the left to take a look.
