CONGRATULATIONS are in order for the newest initiated brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha Lambda Iota Zeta. Fall 2010 grades are in and the men posted an impressive 3.15 cumulative GPA. Way to go men. The 932 brothers before you are impressed by your hard work and dedication. Keep up the good work men. You make us proud. A special thanks goes out also to Nick “Pokes” Weisensel on his dedication and hard work with these men. Ever since their return, Nick has driven home the importance of grades and education. Nick deserves just as much recognition as the undergrads. Way to go guys.

So MANY thanks to Brother Jim Liska for sharing these slides with us! Who knew that scanning slides would be so time consuming! Here are some great photos taken by Brothers Jim Liska, Terry Esrael and others.
You can watch the slideshow here, or click on the images to be taken to flickr.com where you can read the descriptions as they were penned on each slide. My apologies for butchering names, some of them were hard to read. Be sure to keep an eye out for pictures of our mascot Chopper!
It was a great weekend for football and for seeing friends in Whitewater this past weekend.
The event at the house put on by the Alumni Association and the Housing Corporation were outstanding! Many thanks to Don Reinbold and his wife Deb for the extra efforts they put into Homecoming. It was great to meet up with all of our Brothers, old and new, and look to the future in meeting the men who are now form the Lambda Chi interest group on campus.
Here is a batch of photos that I took, expect more in the coming weeks as they roll in from the guys who were there. Images include: Photos of the House, Alumni, the Football Game (yes, they play football on Homecoming!), the former TKE House and some shots of campus.
– Important Alumni Association Meeting: Tuesday, October 7th at the House in Whitewater, 7pm. Anyone who can make this meeting is encouraged to do so.
– Homecoming Events will take place at the House on October 25th. Gather at the House for the parade (10am) and a cookout before the game.
The House is currently getting a much needed exterior makeover in the form of new siding.. Check out this picture taken by Housing Corporation President, Don Reinbold, today Oct. 6th as he was mowing the lawn. (What can we say, our Brothers are multi-taskers!)
– Also, a big thank you to Brothers Jeff Kenner and Joe Palmer who have made sizable donations to the Alumni Association. We appreciate your continued support of our Bond. If you would like to make a donation, you can click the DONATE button the right side of the screen or send a check to Alumni Association Treasurer Robert Hazod. His information is noted below the donation button. Click here for an updated list of donors.
The meeting is definitely on for Tuesday, 9/16 at 7:00 PM. I have had several requests to have the meeting in Whitewater, so that is where we will meet. We will meet at the old Huddle (the place a couple doors west of the Brass Rail). I know they have tables in the back that we could sit around.
As a reminder, we will be discussing the following topics:
* Need to have elections for Alumni Association – The election will be for all positions – President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
* Need to discuss Internationals coming to Whitewater to recruit. They are arriving on 9/21 and plan to have the Associate Member Ceremony on 9/30. They also plan to stay in the house.
* Need to discuss ideas for Homecoming. Homecoming is October 25th.
* Need to discuss a fund-raising event or at least an organized effort to solicit donations.
* Need to make sure everyone understands the need for mentors and the fact that we need to share the responsibility of helping the colony in it’s early stages and beyond. It looks like Don has done a good job in filling some mentor spots, but we still need a few more.
We need as many people to attend this meeting as possible. This will be one of the most important meetings we have had to date as we prepare for Lambda Chi’s return to Whitewater, so please make every effort to be at the meeting.
See you on Tuesday,
Alumni Association President

Did you know that throughout the history of our organization, Chi Delta Rho, Delta Kappa and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternities have lived in 9 houses in Whitewater?
We are in the process of documenting all of the houses with “Then & Now” pictures.
Here are the first two we have for you, click on the image to see larger, more detailed pictures.
Delta Kappa-1954 (219 South Whiton Street)
Chi Delta Rho-1962 (181 Fraternity Lane)
Many thanks to Brother Domingo Nicks for taking the time to shoot these photos.
I have been doing some research, tapping into the archives department at Anderson Library at the University in Whitewater. I have received scans of Whitewater yearbooks (formerly known as the Minneiska) from years in the early 30’s-60’s. The remaining years from the 70’s-early 90’s (when the publication ceased printing) will be in my possession shortly. I will be putting together a complete history of Lambda Chi Alpha, Chi Delta Rho, Delta Kappa, and Beta Kappa Nu lineage throughout our existance in Whitewater. Check out a sample of the great photos, such as this one of Chi Delta Rho from 1937 (click thumbnail to enlarge).
Besides all of the great photos, we can trace the movement of the Fraternity houses throughout the city as Chi Delta Rho and Delta Kappa moved several times.
Keep your eyes out for the history to be posted soon, as well as photos to be posted for enjoyment of everyone. Speaking of which, here is a photo of a major contributor to the site: Brother Red Moeller from 1963.
These materials are fantastic and I would like to thank the Archive Department at the Anderson Library and their zeal in finding materials related to our Fraternity.
The following notes are in reference to the Lambda Chi Alpha (Lambda Iota-Zeta) Recolonizing Business Meeting that took place in Whitewater on June 5, 2007. The notes are provided by our Academic Advisor, Paula Mohan.
Here are pictures of some of the people who helped with the House Cleanup on May 5. Click on a thumbnail to view the full size pictures. Thanks to Brother Mark “Lurch” Litscher for the photos, and thank you to everyone who was able to attend and help with the cleanup! Your work is appreciated by all of us!
