Lambda Chi Alpha General Assembly 2008
Thursday, July 24th, 2008Update your information
Thursday, July 3rd, 2008
Many of you have already received this postcard which asks you to call a 1-800 number to update your information with Lambda Chi Alpha Headquarters. This is a legitimate request, on behalf of our Fraternity. There will be a Centennial Edition of the Alumni Directory published in 2009. When you call the 800 number, you will be asked to give as much or as little information you would like to have printed. From your name, graduation year, profession, marital status, email, etc. Afterward, the customer service representative will ask you if you want to purchase a Lambda Chi Alpha directory (which will arrive in February of 2009). The cost for a hardcover edition is $90, softcover is $70 and a cd-rom version is $40 (? I think). You are not obligated to purchase any of the items to have your information included.
If you do purchase a bound directory, you will be pleased to find a (40 page?) History of Lambda Chi Alpha included inside the book. Lambda Chi Alpha does receive a portion of the money generated from the sale of the directory.
Please make the quick phone call today and update your information.
New Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity website
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008A big hats off to the Brothers at Lambda Chi Alpha International Headquarters on the new LambdaChi.org website.
The new design is incredibly easy to use! Tabbed browsing makes finding materials on the Lambda Chi site is a snap. Congrats to Brothers Chris Barrick and Tad Lichtenauer on their efforts to complete the site.
Cross & Crescent: July 2008
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008Be sure to check out the Cross & Crescent this month. The entire issue is a tribute to our Brothers who serve & have served in the armed forces.

Also, I had the privilege of illustrating the July 2008 cover, shown above.

Lambda Chi Alpha website crashed?
Tuesday, June 24th, 2008
Anyone seen the Lambda Chi Alpha headquarters website? It’s faded to black with just a Coat of Arms on the site…what’s up with that?
Keep checking the site what they are up to!
Info Leak: Cross & Crescent Alumni features
Monday, June 16th, 2008The Cross & Crescent is released on the 2nd of every month. Here are some of the upcoming features:
July 2008 – A tribute to all of our Brothers who are members of the armed forces. (*note: I have been given the honor of illustrating the cover for this issue, keep an eye out for that!)
Future issues could possibly have features on famous Alumni Members Will Forte and Tito Santana.
Will Forte (UCLA) of Saturday Night Live is slated to be featured in an upcoming issue of the Cross & Crescent. I posted an article back in April about Will upon hearing the news from the C&C Staff. Looks like that feature will be coming soon to the Cross & Crescent. Will is currently filming a movie. Although I am not sure which, as the Internet Movie Database lists both A Good Old Fashioned Orgy and The Slammin’ Salmon as both being filmed, under his bio. This interview will be a can’t miss! Lots of exciting news from Brother Forte!
Also, Tito Santana (West Texas State University), Professional Wrestling Legend is on the short list to be featured in the Cross & Crescent as well. Actually, until yesterday when I found out about the potential interview in the C&C, I was unaware that Tito Santana was a Chopper! What a great addition to our list of Famous Alumni! I will be looking forward to reading this interview, as I grew up on 80’s-90’s wrestling! Tito Santana was always a great sportsman and competitor…he embodied the essence of the purity of the sport!
Info Leak: Lambda Chi Alpha website re-design
Thursday, June 12th, 2008You heard it here first, that the National Lambda Chi Alpha website is getting a re-design.
Now, I have an image to share with you, on the potential look & feel of the new site.

This may not be the exact look & feel, but it is the direction that HQ was interested in moving towards. You will notice that important information is a lot easier to access through “tabbed browsing” at the top of the page and in the lower portion of the page. Cross & Crescent articles will be featured on the homepage (the image shown is from the May Issue) and will link to those stories on CrossAndCrescent.com
My sources tell me the goal is to have the new site launched by General Assembly (July 17, 2008).
Also, the staff at HQ is working overtime pumping out newly designed Paedagogus, Officer Manuals, and a Directory. Oh yes, they also produce the Cross & Crescent every month. Big props to Tad, Chris and the rest of the people who make these things appear seamless!
LambdaChi.org website
Monday, April 28th, 2008
Just a quick posting to let you know that the current LambdaChi.org website is going to be going by the wayside in the coming months. Sources tell me that HQ is currently knee-deep in developing a new website which will focus on easier access to Lambda Chi Alpha info, Cross & Crescent articles and everything Lambda Chi.
I, as a designer, am excited for the new site, as the current one has been in use since I was an undergrad and appears a little dated. Best of luck to the HQ development team with their efforts!
Road Trip: Lambda Chi Alpha Headquarters
Thursday, February 21st, 2008
Safe travels to a group of our Brothers who are off to visit Lambda Chi Alpha Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.
Aaron Lauzon, Dustin Scholz, Mark Volz, CJ Kactro, Matt Lahl, Peter Reynolds, and Derek Blaszak are driving out today to see where all of the Fraternity business is handled. We are anticipating all of the photos from the HQ tour (and hopefully some *bonus* snaps of items that are locked in the Fraternity vault, which are not always brought out for tours).
Thanks for Brothers Chris Barrick, Tom Smith and John Holloway for accommodating our Lambda-Iota Brothers.
Lambda Chi Alpha change of address form
Wednesday, February 13th, 2008
I moved 7 times between my graduation in May of 2000 through July 2006.
If you are like me, you know that updating people on your address can be a real chore. But now, updating Lambda Chi Alpha on your current whereabouts has never been easier.

North American Food Drive 2007: We did it!
Sunday, November 4th, 2007
We surpassed our goal!
Final (Pending) Total: $1160 (11/05/07, 8:00am)
Donor List
With all electronic donations in, I can tell you for sure we have $855 in donations via this website, alone! Our Alumni Association President, Martin Hoke, has been accepting cash/check donations for the Food Drive and can add to this to make the grand total final. (Last I was told, he had $290 in cash/check donations which gives us the pending $1145 total). Upon finalizing the amount, a check will be sent to the Whitewater Food Pantry and a check presentation will be made. Follow-up press releases and photos will be sent to the newspaper outlets in the Whitewater and Janesville area. I will have the final conversion of pounds of food raised, once I confirm it with Marilyn Kleinbaum, director of the Whitewater Food Pantry. All totals will be posted here and submitted in the press release.
Again, many thanks to the Brothers who had the means to donate to our Fraternity’s largest philanthropic event, nation-wide! Keep up to date with the website to see final totals for Lambda Chi Alpha nationally for the North American Food Drive!
