Those times were times he would leave the office “at the office.” His favorite destinations were Maui, HI, Sanibel Island, FL and Nagawicka Lake, Delafield, WI. He took great pride in caddying for his son Sam’s many golf tournaments and traveling with his daughter Sara across the country to her equestrian events. His newest joy in his life was his 20-month-old grandson, Graham.

Our Charter!

October 30th, 2012

Looking back on the past four plus years of being the High Pi of Lambda-Iota Zeta in Whitewater, I am thankful for all the support the colony and I have received.

I would like to announce as of today, the Grand High Zeta has voted in favor of giving the men of Lambda-Iota Zeta their charter back! It’s been a ton of work, but I was lucky enough to be surrounded by an amazing group of young men eager to work towards one common cause. I personally would like to thank Brother Bob Hazod for his unwavering support through all the rough times we encountered. Without that support, I don’t know if I could have pushed through all the obstacles. It seems like yesterday we were told it wasn’t possible and given little to no chance at success. Thanks for everything, Brother Hazod.
I look forward to the bright future this chapter, alumni association, and fratenity has to offer. To the unwavering group of young men I have the pleasure of leading, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have earned every ounce of recognition you receive now and in the future! Here’s to setting the pace to which everyone else works to and never looking back!

Homecoming, October 20th, 2012

October 7th, 2012

Hello Brothers,

It is that time of year again. Homecoming is just around the corner and the celebration is about to begin. This year’s Homecoming will be held on October 20th. The festivities will begin at the house at 9am, shortly before the parade starts. Come help us celebrate all of the chapter’s many successes. One of which is the fact that we have had the highest overall chapter GPA on campus for 4 straight semesters. The colony is also on the cusp of receiving its charter (hopefully by the end of this fall semester).
There will be food, drink and a gift provided at the house for a $20 fee. We would also like to welcome the original founding fathers who will be in attendance for their “Last Round-Up” of their generation. They will be coming from all over the country for one last time to show their support and reconnect with their brothers. The last time most of these brothers were around was homecoming of 1998 so come share this with them. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
If you have any questions feel free to email me at

Memorial: Brother Terry Lawler (Omega)

October 19th, 2011

Terry Lawler2

It is with a heavy heart we post the memorial of Brother Terry Lawler (Lambda-Iota 151). Terry joined in the era right after Chi Delta Rho transitioned into Lambda Chi Alpha. Terry answered the call to assist in Recolonizing Lambda Chi Alpha in Whitewater. He was an active participant in University / Fraternity relations for many years. He will be missed not only by the people who knew him, but by the countless others who continue to be touched by his involvement with Lambda Chi Alpha.

January 31st, 2011

It’s that time of year again.  Soon, spring will arrive and the days will  get longer.  The temperatures, warmer.  Spring is the season of Rebirth and Renewal. It’s the time of the year when flowers burst forth from the ground and leaves return to our trees. It’s the time of year when younglings emerge from their hibernation sleep and take their first steps out into the world.  What better time then, for us to celebrate the Rebirth and Renewal of Lambda Chi Alpha- Lambda Iota Zeta.  To that end, we will be holding the 2nd Annual Alumni Reunion Formal this spring.

This year, we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for. We have finally achieved Colony Status after 3 long, hard years of work by High Pi Nick Wiesensel and the men of the interest group. It is because of their hard work and dedication that we are able to say proudly… We’re Back!  In addition to this phenomenal feat, we have also finally become able to reconnect with over 1/3 of our alumni base, and that number grows daily.  As we move forward in life, it’s important that we take a moment and look back at where we came from, to remember those moments in our life that made us the men we are today.  We should take the time to reflect on those bonds of brotherhood that were forged in Whitewater and designed to last a life time.

Join us as we prepare to initiate our newest brothers into the bond of Zeta Alpha Chi, and share with those who came after you and in doing so, relive your youth.  Reconnect with your brothers, old and new as Lambda Chi Alpha Lambda Iota Zeta moves toward the future.  Help us show the newest brothers in the bond the meaning of True Brotherhood.  LAMBDA CHI ALPHA……. NOT 4 YEARS, 4 LIFE.

Formal will be held in one of Geneva National Golf Resort’s beautiful and spacious Banquet halls. Dinner will be catered, and those in attendance will have their choice of Chicken or Pork Rack. Start time for the event is set for 5pm. More information on the night’s activities can be found below.

House Remodel

September 25th, 2010

A Note from the High Pi:

With the recolonization becoming a reality, I have been walking the house, trying to find little projects for the men in an attempt to help them invest in their home.  The downstairs half bath is in need of a redo.  In a perfect world, I would love to have this job completed before homecoming, however, there is much to be done with the ELC on campus and the recolonization occuring this semester, therefore, I would like to start the project this spring.  The men of the soon to be Lambda Chi Alpha Colony will be helping me with the remodel, as an investment project.  We are in desperate need of material and/or funds to finish the job on time.  That is where your support as an alumni comes in.  I am including with this note, a list of all the parts/material that will be needed for the half bath.  I am asking anyone who has extra or left over material from their own projects to please donate to this worthwhile cause.  Material can be dropped off at the house, or contact me through this website/facebook so we can set something up.  If you don’t have material but still want to contribute, monetary donations are acceptable.  All you have to do in order to make a donation, is to use the pay pal option on this website.  All donations will be greatly appreciated and will show internationals just how strong an alumni base Lambda Iota Zeta truly has.  Hope to see at homecoming 2010

And The WINNER IS………..

July 12th, 2010

The first annual Pokesapolooza was held this past weekend (07/10/10) at Tumbledown Trails in Middleton WI.  The event was an astounding success  with 13 brothers hitting the links for a full day of camaraderie, brotherhood and hi jinks.  18 holes and 5 and 1/2 hours later, we were all back in the club house, sun burned and tired but filled with great memories.  Memories like Brad R texting a special someone and forgetting to tee off to Rick L getting so wrapped up in his swing that he actually lost a club somewhere between the 15th and 17th hole. (If anyone found it, please let him know).  It was a day where big brothers got reacquainted with their little brothers; new friendships forged and everyone being brought up to speed on our recolonization efforts.

The event wasn’t without it’s awards and gifts either.  Before teeing off, Brothers received a complimentary gift bag full of tee’s,  golf balls and a golf towel.  In addition to this, the winner of the 1st annual Pokesapolooza will be immortalized on a plaque that will hang prominently in the chapter room at the house.  This year’s winner, with a score of 78 is Brother Ryan Brinza.  But wait, we don’t stop there.  where there is a low score, there is a high score.  We decided to  honor this year’s highest scoring brother with an award as well. The Duffer Award is a traveling award, and will be passed on year after year to the brother with the highest score. Each year that brother will modify the award in his own personal way, kind of like the “Chuck” award for those of you who remember.  This year’s Duffer award went to Brother Jeff Martin with a score of 154.  Not to worry though, Jeff wasn’t alone in his endeavor to attain the highest score.  3 other brothers were in the running. Maybe next year fellas.  Thanks again to all those who made this event a successful and joyous brotherhood event.  Hopefully, next year’s will be even bigger and better.
